Article here - Singapore turns away Rohingya ship
The above said, there is a another heartless hypocritical party that is worth to be noted. She is Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi. I wrote about her here - Sg NGOs' hypocrisy - when a dolphin's life is more precious than human lives
Aung San Suu Kyi, yet another western lackey hypocrite -
These NGOs were backing Suu Kyi for democracy. I had high respect for this lady for many years - until she showed her true colours. Here is a report exposing her double face.
Suu Kyi says cannot back Myanmar's Rohingya: reports
"What Rohingya? All I know is that I am now a free person. That's what matters most." (caption by Barrie)
YANGON: Aung San Suu Kyi has declined to speak out on behalf of Rohingya and insisted she will not use "moral leadership" to back either side in deadly communal unrest in west Myanmar, reports said.
The Nobel laureate, who has caused disappointment among international supporters for her muted response to violence that has swept Rakhine state, said both ethnic Rakhine and Rohingya communities were "displeased" that she had not taken their side.
More than 100,000 people have been displaced since June in two major outbreaks of violence in the state, where renewed clashes last month uprooted about 30,000 people.
When she was a victim of human rights abuse, she fought all out for the oppressed. Now freed and elected into parliament, she forgets the oppressed in her own homeland. Are not the Rohingyas her fellow Myanmese too?
Purported freedom fighter Suu Kyi has shown her true colours. She is just another Western proxy, purporting to be fighting for democrazy. She is the perfect icon for hypocritical NGOs to show support, bringing Western ideals into Singapore.

malaysia has been quietly letting in rohingya refugees the past few years. there are many of them here. my part time gardener and electrician are rohingya refugees. the malaysian govt gives them a special pass to work here, a refugee status pass. i've observed that they are very hardworking, intelligent and frugal. and they lead a very quiet and peaceful life in malaysia. perhaps they are very frightened of authority.
They are not Myanmese. Stateless people from Bangladesh.. Myanmese people do not associate with them and view them as foreign. Suu is still politician as heart. No millleage to be gained here..
“They are not Myanmese” is a cowardly statement. They have been around for generations.
The fact is that they are an oppressed people and the world hypocrites, including the Western parties like UN and western lackey Aung San Suu Kyi, are simply using the hypocritcal “they are not Myanmese” argument to wash their hands.

Please changed the Singapore gov't to the PAP controlled Singapore gov't...
And things are clearer for all to understand and see deeper why Singapore and its people are at times so dynsfunctional.
Sham can say heart broken and all that BS self serving crap over the US shooting and murder of those gentle young souls in the US...
But as to the Rohingya refugees...he can get nothing from it and best to toe along with his buddies.
zzzz
the rohingyas are people from the state of rohang or arakan. arakan was annexed by myanmar in 1785. The Burmese rulers executed thousands of Arakanese men and deported a considerable portion of the Arakanese population to central Burma, leaving Arakan as a scarcely populated area by the time the British occupied it. from the way and from what anon 8.45am (17 dec) writes, we can see that he/she is an example of a prejudiced person who blindly hates another race due to their, skin colour, religion, etc. i would suggest he or she just google or read wikipedia at least. this tragedy is not about 'gaining mileage'. what a vile character you are.
Dude (17th De 2012 5:21 pm post) and Barrie,
This points made in the post ( anon 8.45am 17 dec) is not to depict the character that i am and i always take the side of humanity.
This issue is obviously complicated historically and politically.
The reality and the point is that at this stage, it is all about politics rather than humanity. Politicians are all the same and obviously they will become hypocrites when they have no interest at stake (political mileage for a politician).
And i did read about this marginalized group of people and here is how Suu kyi views them from an interview ...
" Suu Kyi elaborated further, saying: "There's a quarrel whether people are true citizens under the law or whether they have come over as migrants later from Bangladesh. One of the very interesting and rather disturbing facts of this whole problem is that most people seem to think as that there was only one country involved in this border issue. But there are two countries. There's Bangladesh one side, there's Burma on the other and the security and the security of the border is surely the responsibility of both countries."
But in the past she has referred to Rohingyas with the pejorative term "Bengalis" suggesting some should not be recognized as citizens in Myanmar."

So, there is no prejudice from me but you are right that they are being oppressed, prejudiced but not by me but from people of the country they reside in and even the well-regarded politician(s).
When you rely on politician to resolve issues that has no political mileage for them are you surprised at the response ???
Nuff said
Doc, I was referring to the hypocrisy of the argument you used, which is so common among the hypocrites of the west. I did not refer to your character. But of course, you being guilty, felt that I was attacking your character, when i was criticizing your view.
One country involved or two countries involved, what’s the diff? It is still the same hypocritical excuse to leave the Rohingyas to die and everyone still washes hands! Isn’t that still the shameless hypocritical excuse to do nothing but to watch them die? And you bought that hypocritical argument?
The anon you referred to was sharp. In spite of the fact that I did not release an even more seditious and inflammatory post you made earlier, he was able to see through your vile racist nature. That racist post that was not approved is not the only one you spammed. You spammed and continue to spam countless of times. Mostly, made up of hate posts.
Remove that hate in you, doc. It is bad and it is eating your character and soul away like a cancerous growth.
Once again, I invite you to come to Islam, the religion of peace. That is the only hope and cure you have left. All other methods you have tried, appear to have failed miserably over the years.
While you ponder and consider your fate with the beautiful religion of Islam, why not listen to the sura in this post I made yesterday. A beautiful sura recited in a beautiful manner. I assure you that by just listening to the recitation, it would calm you down and your hate will be removed temporarily at least, if not permanently. Here is that post - Beautifully recited Sura Ar Rahman.
Remember, when you are unable to control your hate and anger, just visit my blog, listen to the sura I posted, and you nerves would be calmed. Your hate would be forgotten. Islam, the religion of peace, is the only hope you have left. Allah knows your weakness. He knows best.
